Without much warning Light jerked awake, a strange sort of chill ran through him as he stared into the dark room. What little moonlight that managed to filter into the room through the single window only served to create foreign shadows that added to the uneasy atmosphere.

Something was amiss, something was wrong, he couldn't put his finger on it until he noticed that something truly was missing. The clinking of keys, the glow of a computer, and that faint sound of a detective breathing. It wasn't there. Why wasn't it there?

Light sat up, slowly scanning the room as he flicked on the lamp next to the bed. He called out into the stillness, yet none would answer. Of course his eyes did not lie. L was gone.

His first coherent thought after the shock of the missing detective was of the shiny metal he could still feel latched around his wrist. He was no longer attached to the detective! Then his heart fell as quickly as it had risen in hope... He was now latched to the headboard of the bed instead. Judging from the length of the chain he couldn't get anywhere near the laptop across the room or a phone. He was as stuck as ever. trapped.

Then he noticed the odd array of clothes on the floor. Things he’d never laid eyes on before. Leather, odd belts and chains, freakish unlit glow sticks. All littered the carpet in a trail over to the closet.

Then he noticed the open closet door, his jaw fell slack as he realized something else was amiss, "WHERE'S MY FAVORITE SWEATER!!!"

Soooo L sneaks out late at night, steals some of Light's clothes (as well as Mello's judging from this pic) and goes club hopping! So that's why he gets no sleep, who knew!!

I felt like doodling something weird and then that drabble came with it... so well.. I just wanted to let you all know I still live.
